Midwestern University (MWU) is a private, non-profit grad school of medicine with two campuses: Midwestern University Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine in Downers Grove, Illinois and the Midwestern University Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine(MWU/AzCOM) in Glendale, Arizona. With the inception of the college occurring over a century ago, it now comprises multiple campuses training health professionals in a variety of fields. The Glendale campus has offered a degree in Podiatric Medicine Program (D.P.M.) since 1998 and is the only podiatric med school in the Southwest. The curriculum is innovative and the clinical venue adds to the richness of the student experience. Numerous elective rotations are available to med students in addition to some combined degree programs. Graduates proceed to career placements in hospitals, sports medicine clinics, geriatric institutes, and so on.
