The Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine is a podiatric medical school part of Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The school is located at 8th and Race Streets in downtown Philadelphia. The school was founded in 1963 as the Pennsylvania College of Podiatric Medicine (PCPM). An older chiropody school had existed at Temple University until 1960 when it closed its doors. The current campus was constructed in 1973 as the first campus in the United States dedicated solely to podiatric medical education. In 1998, the Pennsylvania College of Podiatric Medicine merged with Temple University, thus becoming the "Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine." TUSPM is considered one of the top podiatric medical schools in the United States and consistently ranks high in producing well-rounded, clinically competent, podiatric physicians.
